Broadband Access
A relatively uncongested Northern US east to west line of fiber optic cables runs through Missoula, with additional access to the north-south Cut Bank US – Canadian fiber. Close access, low congestion and fewer hops mean that Missoula businesses have access to fast, reliable internet access and data transfer.
Traditional
Infrastructure is the foundation upon which our city functions. Traditional infrastructure is well-built and maintained in Missoula, including roads, sewer systems, and bridges. In terms of service infrastructure, our gas and electricity supply is efficient and bountiful, and our rates are among the lowest in the country. Water is provided by Missoula Water, the city-owned water utility. The City of Missoula took ownership of the water utility in June 2017. The Missoula Wastewater Treatment Facility utilizes physical, biological and chemical treatment methods to care for 6 million to 9 million gallons of wastewater each day.
